In Memoriam:
Rita Stanczik, Executive Collies
The Collie world mourns the passing of Rita Stanczik on April 10. The mistress of Executive Collies bred rough champions in four decades, starting in the mid-70s, with CH Executive's The Silencer, a 1976 champion, and finishing in the 2000s, having bred and owned more than 40 champions. CH Executive's Ride The High Wind is a Register of Merit (ROM) sire with 30 champions to his credit. CH Executive's Be My Valentine is a ROM dam with 8 champions. Two Kem Memorial Sweepstakes winners carry the Executive prefix, including CH Executive's Be My Fantasy, the 1998 winner owned by Debbie Holland, and Executive's Believe in Magic, the 1989 winner owned by Rita and Mary Benjamin. Executive Collies won Rough Winners Bitch at the National in 1989 with CH Executive's Halo Of Hearts, and again in 1993 with CH Executive's Remember Always, and the results and pictures in CCA Yearbooks, particularly of the 90s, bear witness to the durability and unrivaled success of Executive Collies on the National Specialty stage.
