This past weekend Rochester Collie Club and Collie Club of Western New York held 4 specialty shows in 2 days. At the first specialty, Judge Adria Weiner awarded the rough specials bitch, GCH Overland Deal Me In, Best of Breed. The smooth specials bitch, GCH Ceilidh's Deep River Haute Couture was awarded Best of Breed at the second and fourth shows by judges Maria (Lily) Russell and Amy Gau. At the third specialty of the weekend, Judge Jeffrey Silverman Presley selected the rough specials bitch, CH Aryggeth's Private Party Wi-Sh, Best of Breed. These shows were held in Albion, New York.

In early April, Greater Jacksonville Collie Club held back-to-back specialties in Elkton, Florida. Earlier this month, Robert Hawkins Jr. judged the Central Penn Collie Club in Reading, Pennsylvania. This past weekend, Tri County Collie Breeders Assoc., Hartford-Springfield Collie Club and Collie Club of Connecticut held four specialty shows in 2 days in Bethel, Connecticut. Closings

There are four shows closing at two locations, Wednesday, April 22. Friday, May 8, Kansas City Collie Club will have a doubleheader at Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, with judges Roxann Heit (Breed) and Barbara Linder (Breed).

On Saturday and Sunday, May 9-10, Indiana Collie Club will have two shows at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin. Saturday's judges are Joseph Reno (Breed, Juniors) and Fred Buroff (Obedience). Sunday's judges are Mark Lucas (Breed, Juniors) and Fred Buroff (Obedience).

The first litter, sired by GCH Kings Valley The Man In Black, out of AM/INT CH Rimba's Showtime Celebrity, produced nine puppies, including four males and five females -- roughs and smooths, sable, blue and tri, whelped March 31. The second litter, sired by Omega N Rimba's Bound For Glory, out of Rimba's I Believe, produced six rough, sable puppies -- five males and one female, whelped March 7.

South Bay Collie Fanciers, San Gabriel Valley Collie Club and California Collie Clan held six specialty shows in three days from March 20-22 in Claremont, California. The rough specials dog, GCH Chelsea Casanova Cowboy was awarded three Best of Breed awards under judges Robette Johns, Loralee Runnels and Hildegarde Morgan. Larkspur Raindrops On Roses was awarded two Best in Specialty awards from the open tri bitch class by judges Debbie Ferguson and Carl Williford. The rough specials bitch, CH Bravos Burlywood Bravada HIC was also awarded a Best of Breed under judge Janice McClary at the last specialty of the weekend.

CH Rosehaevens Summit Nobility, owned and handled by Deanna Levenhagen, earned Most Versatile Collie for the third time with a score of 313.7 at the Collie Club of America National Specialty in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The rough sable and white dog also won the top perfomance award in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2011 and last year in West Springfield, Massachusetts. There were three litters reported for the week of February 28 - March 6.
